(Super A) Not a showroom restoration, but nice cleanup!

After my '48 Super A was sitting out in the open enduring New England summers, winters, rain and snow for 5 years, she wasn't looking too hot. After I made sure everything was mechanically sound (oils/grease, points/condenser, carb cleaning, ect) I gave her the old rattle can razzle-dazzle restoration! (I don't have the time, patience, tools, or money for a premium paint job). I think its turning out pretty good!

Looks nice! Your wife doesn't like pink?
Thank you!

My wife's the one that encouraged me to get my tractor back when the opportunity finally arrived all these years later. She knew part of my soul lives in this old piece of iron. She and her friends humorously refer to the Super A as "the other woman" lmao. They're both keepers!

It looks nice! My 140 was painted with rattle cans by the previous owner. It's no show queen but it looks pretty good. I use it for lots of things where it gets dirty and scratched up. It would be much harder to get things done if it had a premium paint job on it because I would always be trying not to mess it up.

That's another reason for the rattle can treatment. Battle damage doesn't hurt as much lol

That's about the same reaction from my wife's friends when she tells them that I'm out with "Miss Allis"........... :)
Beautiful tractor my dude. Orange is my favorite color so my inner child has always loved ACs. Too bad they're pretty scarce in my neck of the woods. Although I remember seeing what I believed was a D21 sputtering around Suffield, CT once when I was working tobacco.
