Would anyone have a picture of what this 363 500 R1 strap, wrapping cable looks like? I have searched here and the net but coming up with nothing. I know its been discontinued but I just wanted to get a visual so I could possibly duplicate one or something close possibly. Also states in the parts book that is will work for 351 352 R1.

It is item number 1 in the diagram and on the parts list. I believe it just secures the rear lamp wire to the battery cable but was just wondering what it might be other than a ty rap.

Hi,
I found the part in the Cub and LoBoy parts manual. It holds wiring. It is used in 2 places, I saw.
To hold the rear light wire to the battery cable by the battery box, and to wrap around the battery cable and rear light wire at the clutch pedal.
They are made of sheet metal, and wrap around the wires to hold them. I have some wraps, they have no part numbers on them. They aren't on a Cub, but were.
They are 1 1/2" wide. They wrap around the cables just a little over 1 time.
The ones I have are probably the older part number, but I don't know when they changed numbers. :)

They are made of sheet metal, and wrap around the wires to hold them. I have 1 or more of them, I don't remember the exact width of them without measuring them.
They are about 1" or 1 1/4" wide. They wrap around the cables about 1 and a half times.

So guessing it must not be to thick to form it by hand I would guess. Since I work at a steel mill I should be able to handle making me one or two. Not sure about the paint staying on it though if formed around the wiring.

It is a lot like the harness retaining clips, but with no bolt hole, probably the same thickness material. They are about 1-1/2 inches across (distance along the cable). I will guess maybe 2-1/2 inches of material the other way. The ones I looked at seem to have a rubbery coating, which may be the difference between the part numbers. I suspect the part was made with one bend, giving a sort of "j" shape. When installed, a second bend would bring it back around to overlap the first end. The one by the battery functions about the same as a zip tie would. I suspect the one under the platform between the clutch pedal and bell housing is there as a wear protector.

Here are some pictures. Note that I pulled the one next to the clutch pedal forward to get the picture. It should be under the platform.

I measured my wraps. They are 1 1/2" wide. The one at the clutch pedal base helps protect the cable and wire from damage.
If that width of metal is hard to work with , you could make them from narrower metal, maybe, and have 2 totaling 1 1/2" wide.
I changed my post above, if you want to read it again.
I need someone to make me a new battery holder for my riding mower, it is sheet metal, the height, width, and length of the battery. You are probably a long way from me, I don't know if you have any interest or not.
