:D I thought the colors would turn out better. The hills are all yellow flowers and the backround is purple from the mountain lupin and sage in bloom. My favorite time of year here. With all the rain we've had everything exploded in color.

That is beautiful!! :o It's amazing the constrast of that pic and the way it will be shortly. Although I feel that each change in season has its own special attractions. I'm always in awe of the differences in the people, terrain, and scenery of CA whenever I visit. So close to LA, that is really a change in scenery! LA is so exciting to visit, but I couldn't live there. Regardless of the political issues, CA is a wonderful state 8)

Brent: A beautiful picture. I have always been fascinated with anything and everything concerning the old west. I must have read several thousand books by Louis L'amour and other western writers. Still read them each night until I fall asleep. My favorite travels have been those to western states from Arizona and southern Cal to Montana and Wyoming. I have spent most of my life in Missouri, Texas and Arkansas and was quite pleased to be able to go to a rodeo in historic Cody, Wyoming. This was a night in the latter part of June following a fairly warm day. The temperature must have dropped 50 degrees or more after we arrived at the rodeo arena. A strong wind was blowing, our coats offered little warmth. That was the coldest temperature which I have ever experienced. I would leave the stands to get near a metal windbreak, then back into the stands for an event which which I wanted to see, then back to the windbreak. I would not like Montana or Wyoming during the winter season but love to be there during summer. A change of topic but how is the saw operating? Dan

The saw works great. I was going to demo it at California's largest tractor show next week but our group thought it might be too dangerous. I think our governor calls those types Girly Men. I used a similar one alot when I was younger and never had a problem. Actually, I think they're safer than a chain saw, especially with the full blade guard. I'm now looking for a little more adventurous group to play with. :)
 
Brent,Great picture.I just flew back east from Las Vegas last week.I was wondering from 30,000 feet up ,some of the fields were in circles.Lots of circles.Patches of circle farmland.My question is .Was that for irrigation purposes?
 
Ned. Probably from irrigation pipe on wheels that swivel from one end by water pressure ...........
