How many of y'all have gotten all of the Spec Cast Cubs that have been released to date? Kinda curious. So far I only have 2 but they are really nicely detailed.

How many are there? I still haven't found a complete listing. Got pics :?:

Rudi,
Let me get off my night shift stretch and I'll get pics and details (this Fri or Sat)
What I DO have has all been from Ken Updike at C&G, I rely on him to announce each new offering.
Off hand I'd say I have 13 or 14 of the series.

I got 10 so far. I usually wait for them to go on clearence before I buy them. So far I have gotten about half of them that way.

Bill:

Thanks.

Ken has been my go to guy for those, but the finances just were not there for a while so I fell behind. Now I am going to have to see if I can catch up .. slowly and hopefully they will be a bit cheaper than :eBay:

And yeah, I remember dogs and mids ... boy those were kinda tiring. Navy 5 watch -- ouch after a while.

Rudi,
Here are the stock #s of the 13 I have (lowest to highest)
1606
1607
1627
1633
1635
1637
1648
1651
1673
1674
1675
1692
1693
Please note: All numbers led by letters "ZJD"

I have them all except the FFA 1 of 1000. The white demo was the Lafayette 2009 Toy Show tractor and had Lafayette 2009 imbossed on the left side of the oil pan. That show did not take place due to the motel changing hands or something like that. The next tractor after the Demo was the early round nose with the sickle bar mower. The first ones of those released also had the Lafayette 2009 imprint in the left side of the oil pan like the white demo, later ones did not, so there are two versions of the early model with sickle bar mower. Guess Spec Cast had some unsold Lafayette show tractors and painted them red and used them on the next model released.

Bill:

Thanks for that information. The model numbers are going to be useful. I will be searching for pics of the individual models both in box and out of box for the CBoK.

Paul:

That is really interesting information on the White Demo. That is one of the ones that I have. Didn't realize that the Lafayette show didn't happen. I have to check the other model number.

Paul B-----thanks for the information on the round nose with the sickle mower. I have the early model with Lafayette 2009--- Now I got to find the later model--what's one more $$$$$

Paul:

The two I have are ZJD 1606 and ZJD 1607 with 07 being the round nose with the Cub-22. Is there a separate model number of the later Cub with the Cub-22? Or is it the same model number and just minus the imprint?

I you would happen to visit Central Indiana Cub Fest there might be a possibility that you would see all the full size Cubs that all those tractors were modeled after

Steve:

That is in the long term plans :D . We eventually would like to visit each CubFest at least once (well the ones that are a loooong way from home) ...

The model number of he round nose with the 22 on it is the same whether it has Lafayette 2009 on it or not. The red ones with Lafayette 2009 on them are an error, Lafayette 2009 was only suppose to be on the white demo. Spec cast just used up the unsold Lafayette show models without removing the Lafayette imprint on the oil pan

As far as which is worth more, probably the red one with Lafayette on it because there are less of them, and they are an "error" tractor. From what I have seen at a show or two since they came out they both (when you could find both versions) were selling for the same price, I assume because most people, including the dealers, didn't know there was any difference.

I tried to take pictures of of one with, and two without Lafayette, but the pictures are not very clear. The models are still in unopened boxes. The one w/o shows up good (side of oil pan), but the two with are not clear because the edge of the clear plastic tray the tractor is setting in is right across the lettering.

Dave:

Okey dokey, I can see that decal as well as the Cust #. Is there a ZJD model # as well?

Paul:

Well I can see the Lafayette on the oil pan. Now I will go check mine. I don't think it has the Lafayette on it. Will have to look for one I guess .. if it is to be found. I kinda like errors. I collect stamps as well and well you know the story on error sheets especially. Neither of my boxes are open either and I am going to leave em like that for a while.
