Spark plug wrench

I just use a 7/8" box end wrench. Just like George said, one tug and they should spin right out.

...You can use a regular socket on the Cub, but on my Super A there is not enough clearance in the head casting for the socket to go in deep enough to engage the plug. The only plugs that will work in it a Champions because the hex is much higher up on the plug than on AC or Autolite.

I use Autolite #386 plugs on my Super A. I have found that a Craftsman 3/8" drive, 7/8" standard deep-well socket seems to work well. The plug hex extends to about 11/16" above the head mating surface and provides enough engagement before the socket bottoms out on the head casting. You must use care to not damage the plug. A foam "tube" as used in a regular plug socket might offer some plug protection. Maybe all Super A head casting were not created alike  .
