My first farm "job" included driving wagons from the field to the barn. The boss bought a new (used) combine and wanted to see what it could do. Well, this field was 2 miles from the farm and he was filling up the combine and wagons faster than I could transport and empty them.
After exhausting other options to speed things on the JD 2510 like pulling the throttle knob out to get a few extra RPM's, he told me to swap tractors.

Go get the beautifully restored wide front Super MTA. Man that tractor would FLY!

I was trying to be funny. Some times it works, other times not so much.

Missouri, we have to list ag machinery on our holdings for personal property tax. My antique working tractors, I pay a couple dollars a year property tax for each tractor. Enough on taxes.

Son and I are considering purchasing a 3-point back hoe and a larger tractor. Considering an M to carry the back hoe.

I know where dad's super M is. But what would I do with it? The 404 sits most of the time. Dad had am M as well as the super M. The difference is worth the money. Vern
