Retirement!

12/19/2025 was my final day of full-time employment.
My bride, along with our adult children put together a surprise retirement party on Saturday evening after sledding for a few hours. Small gathering of just our family, minus Erik, but a great way to celebrate why I worked for all those years.
Donna got me this t-shirt, not a Cub, but close enough!

Enjoy all of your "free time" away from "the man!" I closed up my shop in 2020 and now I just tinker with things. It is so nice not to have a deadline on anything. 😁

Congratulations, Peter! I can no longer wrap my head around getting out early in the morning, to go to work, although I still have unpleasant dreams about it.

Congratulations on your retirement Peter! I hope you have plenty to do when you WANT to do it. I have really enjoyed my time since I retired. Hope you are enjoying yours too.

…so, the good thing about retirement is that I have unlimited sick time!🤪
12/20 - 12/23 had a nasty head cold. Cleared up pretty good for Christmas, then…
12/31 - 1/4…and counting, the flu! Did manage to get firewood in today.

As for the unlimited sick time, get ready, as you continue on you're going to use a lot of it. Enjoy the time. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is yet to come, today is all we have -- make the most of it.
