Rescue Cub in Brazil

I agree with the others, it looks close to the correct color, if not right on. I also thought there's probably not much to compare it to, so if you're happy with it, run with it!

Just make sure it's a quality paint and the end result will be satisfactory. Would be a shame to end up with a poor performing paint job with all the effort you have put forth with the prep work.

Looking forward to seeing the end result, you have done an amazing job bringing that ole Cub back to life!

Maybe I misunderstood what Stephane was saying, but I believe he had paint mixed to match the paint on the headlights he received. So, he’s already bought the paint.

Stephane: since you will have one of the only Cubs in you area, it won’t matter what shade of red you choose. Only that you like it!

Hello. Stanton. In brazil it is easier to fly an elephant than to see an original farmall cub. I know 5 or 6 cubs in all Brazil, in other states.

I received two original headlights from USA, I did paint mixed to match with original headlights.

Hi,
There are pictures on here of Cubs people have repainted, you can look and see what the red looks like.
Below is the Cub picture section. Unless the person with the Cub says what paint, or color, they used, people wouldn't know.

Below are pics of Cubs, I don't know what brand of paint the people used on them. :)

Thank You Glen. I will look and see if the red color match.

Not sure what brands of paint you have available in Brazil, but the DuPont number for IH 2150 is 96766. Perhaps your paint dealer can cross that to whatever brand they sell.

Thank you Don, I will contact dupont dealer for information, but I believe it´s dificult have .

That's the way I understand it.

I know it's not bolted on yet, but l noticed your valve cover in the pictures is inverted. The high side should be facing out.
You're making great progress. I'm interested to see how you are going to repair the rusted out fuel tank.
Keep going, you must have a great passion for this work :hattip:

Not to beat a dead horse, but two of the three are correct. The last one is incorrect. But, since it’s not bolted on, I’m sure that Stephane will get it correct in the final assembly.
