Redoing the gas tank

With a number of things I need to do on the Cub and being inspired by Pete Larson's you tube channel I decided I'm going to do a proper teardown and repainting on the Cub.
Question I have, and I know I've seen a thread somewhere but what is the best practice to redoing the gas tank. The white lining in mine is flaking off and has been for quite some time and is just one of the things I need to address.

If you can find a radiator repair shop that will do an acid boil out, it might work. It's worth checking into that option. Obviously everything attached to the tank will need to be removed. Someone more versed in the liner properties might offer some suggestions, even the radiator shop might help. JMHO Stan

That is a great idea we do have one of those locally. This has been the part of redoing my Cub that I've been most concerned about.
