Rear Wheel Rim Width; I Seem To Have An Odd Size

I'm the one who recently acquired the narrow Cub I've posted here about recently. It currently has truck wheels and tires on the back, having been used only as a parade float hauler these past 25 years after it was rebuilt. But the original rear wheels were still in the back yard, although with a fair bit of surface rust. I spent quite a bit of time with a wire wheel and media blaster, and primed and painted them. And ordered new 9.5 - 24 tractor tires. I also just got and read the IH Farmall Cub Owner's Manual. In the wheel section, it clearly states that the Cub came with either a W5-24 rim (5" width) for 6-24 tires or a W7-24 rim for use with 7-24, 8-24 or 9-24 tires. But...my wheels are clearly marked W6-24 and I've confirmed the 6" rim width (at the bead ridge). How odd. Seems like these are going to be a bit too narrow for 9.5-24 tires. I have photos of it in its original state, and it's a bit hard to tell, but the rear tires look to have been 7-24s, maybe 6-24?.

So I guess I need to find some W7-24 rims now. And I guess I'll add the W-6s to the other narrow Cub parts I will be selling after I make the changes.

W6-24 rims were originally used with the 7-24 tire size. There also was a W8-24 rim for the 9-24 tires for a short time. As the usage of 24-inch tires has dropped off, the width choices have diminished.
