Rakes

Does anyone know where I could get some tines for an old rake I have. I thought it was called a hay rake but I can't find any hay rakes that are not the circular type. This is on the order of a Landscape Rake but the tines are skinnier and there are many models with different type tines with different curves and bolt patterns. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you looking at what is called a dump rake? Most of those were on steel. These rakes go back to the horse drawn era and would gather hay for a way and then dump it. Each round thereafter it was dumped in line with the previous dump and thus the windrow was crosswise to the direction of travel while raking. This was in the hay loader era not the baling era.

There several videos on utube of this rake. Vern
