I have a 1948 6 v cub and when I took the battery cables off to paint I didn’t pay attention to if it was negative ground or positive…. How do I determine which?
Battery ignition or magneto? If Battery ignition the side of the coil that connects to the (distributor) points should match the battery ground, i.e. pos battery ground = coil + goes to the points but it will work either way. If magneto it doesn't matter since the mag works on inductive current and is totally separate from the battery. Gen will need to be polarized according how the battery is installed. JMHO Stan
