Polarizing Generator w/cutout relay

Just want to make sure this is right: On a tractor that has the original system: Cutout relay, mag, and resistor on light switch to control charge rate, (Lo, Hi, Dim, Bright), do you still bridge the BAT and GEN terminals on the cutout relay to polarize it? Wasn't sure since you don't have a wire connected to the F terminal on the cutout.

that is correct. The field terminal has nothing to do with re-polarization.

Yup, what bigdog said. If you try to polarize by connecting to the F lead on either type system you run a very high risk of damaging the generator.
