Plugs for Farmall C

After doing a little research some people recommended the Champion D16 plugs for the C. Others say to use Autolites. I've been tuning my C but it could still be better so I'm going to replace the plugs.

Additionally, how big of a pain is it to take some slop out of the steering? I assume the worm gear would need replacing and to get to it would require disassembly of the front of the tractor. I'm guessing the replacement parts might be pricey.

One correction, I think the worm gear isn't bad to get to since I think it is accessible behind a large plug in the front of the bolster. It's the other steering gear that is rotated by the worm gear that I'm not 100% sure the best way to replace.

I used Champion D-21s.

I'm torn between trying the D16s, D21s, and the Autolite 3116s. In the end they will all work fine I imagine. I want to use this tractor for brush mowing, occasional plowing/tillage, and pulling the odd flatbed wagon around.

If you are going to be working it, as you suggest, the D-16s may serve you well. If it's used lightly, a hotter plug like the D-21s may perform better.
