Plowing snow with the Cub today

Carl, I wish there was some way I could send you this foot or so we got, yesterday, I’d gladly do it! I plowed yesterday till my pinkies bout froze, got to do it again this morning. I wholeheartedly agree with Dan!

Yeah I know, it was pretty cold out there! I didn't realize I had no gloves on for a while because I was having so much fun. Eventually my hands started to hurt and I realized I left the gloves in the garage after I got the tractor fired up haha!If it wasn't so cold, pushing snow would be a little more enjoyable!

I know further south of us got hit pretty hard. We got about 7-8" here I think when it was all said and done. I plowed the first 5-6" with the tractor and later on in the evening I went back out with the snowblower to do the last couple inches that had fallen. There was a dusting of snow this morning so I just brushed that off the driveway with the shovel. Looks like no more snow in the forecast for a while. But it's going to remain really cold for a while, so whatever have is going to stick around for a while now.
It's definitely more fun to plow with the tractor when it's 25-30 degrees out vs single digit temps. I was smart this time and put a towel over the seat so I wasn't frozen to the metal seat when I was done plowing haha!

My 50 Cub doing battle with 13" of the white stuff. Fun if it wasn't so cold.

Glad some of you are getting some seat time you wouldn't normally get this time of year, and l hope you're all staying warm and safe.
Watching the vids and reading past posts about pushing snow, needing extra wheel weights and chains and the like, l have some advice for some of you that might be new to plowing snow with your Cub.
Tip your blade to one side, l prefer the right so l can see as it rolls off. That way the snow doesn't build up in front of you so you end up pushing a heavier load the farther you go. It also cuts down on the "wind roll" on the left side as you make more passes to push it out as wide as you need.
Take it from a guy that's been doing this a while ( 50 yrs) with the same Cub.

PS Before anyone says anything, yes l already have the new replacement gas cap. It's on my other Cub.

Yeah I was thinking of maybe changing the blade direction a little bit. I ended up going over my driveway additional times since I had two small strips of snow from each side of the blade. But then I also got to spend more time on the tractor too haha!
