Plowing snow with H/300

Still haven't done the snow blade mount for the 300 yet but was wondering do I need rear wheel weights and or chains for the 300?

If you don't have them, put weight on the hitch like a grading blade or a carry all with cement blocks..cheaper

No wheels are not loaded. The 300 basically does lawn mower duties so have never added weights.

Thanks for the replies. This is one of the "projects" that may get done sometime.

Blade width will make a difference. Are you plowing on a hill? I have plowed with an H using a 7 foot blade on fairly level drive using chains, a 55 gallon drum on water (ice?) on the drawbar and wheel weights. Tires not loaded. A bit of overkill? Maybe. For most snowfall yes. But we probably have more snow than you do since we get lake (Michigan) effect snow which can be a mess. The more you have on your side the better. Have "fun" plowing with whatever you decide. :D Vern

IT is all level ground. I was looking at getting a 6' or 7' truck blade, basically just to have a bigger option than the Cub. But will say with weights and chains the cub did well, and I don't actually have to plow my road I just do it for fun.
