Hi Phoenix cub fans,

I will be in Phoenix on Friday 11/14 and Saturday. Are there any cub events in the area those days ? (Or any other machinery sites I should not miss?) Please provide an address that I can find on mapquest.

Thanks

It's not cub related but here a couple of cool places to visit:

Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West
12621 Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd
Scottsdale, AZ

Phoenix Zoo
455 N Galvin Pkwy
Phoenix, AZ 85008

And next to the zoo and a really neat place to visit:
Desert Botanical Garden
1201 N. Galvin Parkway
Phoenix, AZ

The Arizona State Capital Building is worth some time if you are downtown
State Capitol
1700 West Washington
Phoenix, AZ

Sorry but Cubs are fairly scarce here. I drool over Ebay listings of what is available back east. There are other things always going on here this time of year. Google Phoenix events if interested. You might want to bring a coat though. Last weekend we had some 1/4 inch white stuff come out of the clouds. It will probably get down to 50 at night.

there are a couple members of this forum that live near phoenix one is arizona mike near sierra vista and i think a few more hope this helps

Rick:

If you are a fan of architecture at all, then Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West is a must stop. I know is is a definite must visit for me whenever Em and I can get to travellin... FLW probably is one of America's greatest architects, and one of the greatest influences on me as I studied architetural design in the early 70's. I use much of his basic techniques in my own work.. big, big influence even in furniture design. Probably equivalent to BauHaus :!:

Well worth the time to visit if you gots a chance.

I know, cubs are much more fun, but ifn there ain't too many, this is as good a diversion as any :big smile:

Thanks for the tips!

We visited the phoenix zoo today. As it happens, they have a number of vintage tractors for the kids to climb on.
