At work yesterday afternoon one of my coworkers asked me "Why's the flag at half mast?" For several seconds I'm sure I had a look of utter disbelief on my face then I responded "Sept 11th" in a calm but how stupid are you tone.
As time ticks on the memories fade and every year more children who weren't old enough to remember, or weren't even born yet, are added to the population. Just like Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Pearl Harbor Day it is on those of us who do remember, to set an example, and to remind and teach those who don't remember or weren't around.
