Out of the woods - free mower

Got my 1949 Cub out of the woods today and home. Had a belly mower on it which I unhooked. I have no need for it. I live in central GA so if you live relatively close to Macon and interested in it, it's free for the asking. Going to try and post pictures

Your mower is an older style with the round rear deck part Bush Hog 412 made in Selma Ala. Later style has the 3 sided rear deck. Generally parts are NLA. Wish I was closer to you! JMHO Stan

Hi Stan
Was one guy a bit quicker than you. He is about 150 miles from me and I know him. He called me. Anyhow, if he decides not to take it I will hold it for you. He ask for a week to see what he could work out. All the best, Dennis

OK, thanks. I just responded to your post on the VINE about the Blade parts. Stan

Did you get the GSS 1012 service manual that I emailed on Thursday? I have the IH conversion manual to a battery ignition if you want it. Stan
Yes, and many thanks. About to pull this pulley shaft off so can work on my belly blade. I will send it with the mower. Did get the hydraulics working STRONG. All the best. Dennis

Glad to hear that you're making progress, hydraulics working means you can now assess just about everything about the tractor. The right angle belt drive device in your picture is usually referred to as a "mule drive", Glad to be able to get it with the mower. The plan is to move it south via CUB EXPRESS next year. Thanks again for your generous offer. Stan
