I picked up this NICE Orginal 1975 140 over the weekend. The person I bought it from was in his 80s and worked for International Harvester and retired from there. Plus there was alot of attachments with it. :tractor:

Very nice find! Enjoy.

Thanks, With Having 23 Cubs in my stable now, and 2 140s, this might not be a good thing? :tractor:

A good Super A or 140 or two will make you completely re-think why you have any Cubs!

Except for when it comes time to shop for implements!

I have a nice 1953 super A sitting here taking up space.

Granted I highly agree the super A is a better tractor with overhead valve engine, mid and rear independent touch control, 540 pto, blah blah blah :)

Super A-140 implements are as common as Cub implements here, if not more so. And all those reasons is what puts the Super A-140 ahead of a Cub. Cub's main advantage is nimbleness.

If I was in the boat that you two are, I'd be putting some tractors up for sale!

I am trading a 49 with a blown engine for some ornamental trees

I don't really use them, I just like Looking at them.

Congrats on picking up such a nice original tractor, and implements. Its refreshing to see equipment that was taken care of and not stored under a tree.

I am a fan of this series of tractor as well, and at one time was working on collecting a set of them, from The "A" - 140. I have not fulfilled that yet, as I am still missing the Super A and a 100, probably wont make it, as 100's are pretty hard to come up with.
My 140 is a late tractor, made in 79, if I remember right. It has a spin on oil filter, and an alternator, that appears to be factory installed.

Enjoy your new toy in good health!
