We have a late 40's early 50's Farmall Cub and we have thouroughly enjoyed using to to mow for the last 10 years. We aquired a garden plow a while back and we only ever used it once. We are now looking to get rid of it. It is hydraulic lift and works good has a sod cutter and single bottom plow. Not sure off hand of brand, could find that out. Also could get pictures if anyone is interested. Would like to get $250 for it. We are located in Western Pa. Let me know and i definately like thise site lots of useful info for our cub.
 
Alright, this is what i was looking for some info. So we got ripped off when we paid $250 for it from a guy out of the newspaper? Thats alright I'll try the ads section.

I would not say ripped off! The price of implements varies according to where you are, what is common and what is not, the condition of the item, and what it is worth to you.

If you think something is worth $175.00 and the guy wants $250.00 - dicker with him, can't hurt and if you can't get to a reasonable meeting of the pocket book, then you can decide if you want to pay his price or look elsewhere.

It is all location, supply and demand.

Here I can get a Cub-193 single bottom moldboard plow for anywhere from $75.00 to $250.00 depending on condition. That is Canadian and on the east coast. Probably in Ontario, same plow would go for $100.00 tops and in Alberta - maybe $50.00.....
 
'71 Nova, my dad has one. Anyway I am in South Central Pa and would be interested if'n the price was a bit more reasonable. I have been watching prices and you might get that in the eastern part of the state or New Jersey, but I wouldn't pay more than 75.00 and that seems to be the going rate this side of Lancaster. WEAV27, you can buy a plow for $75-$100 in a lot of places, but don't forget you need the depth control leaver also. That will usually run another $75 or so. They originally came with the plow, but frequently get seperated over the years.
 
Thanks, I already have a depth control lever with the linkage to the front drawbar. Between my father and I we have a fairly good assortment of extras that we can use. Always looking for another plow or any implements for that matter. We have been trying to think of the perfect implement for my dad's demonstrator that would look sharp at some shows. 8)

I have a few ideas in mind but would like to hear some opinions as to what other people think is the best "Look" to describe a Cub. I know that Since the Cub is capable of wearing so many hats that it is hard to pick just one to show. We both have snow/grader blades, front cultivators, harrows, and single bottom plows.

WEAV27, I've learned that a rear mount disk plow will attract a lot of attention. However it does extend the total length to just slightly over 12 feet, and adds about 400 pounds to the total weight.
 
I like the idea, that would definately catch an eye or two. George's picture has a lot to say for a cub and maybe I'll have to tell dad to do something like that and for parades he can put it on one of the long trailers and pull it with the Super M that he is to pick up tonight.
