Need a hose for IBC Tote outlet

I have a large IBC Tote, size is 264 gal (1,000 litres). It's one of those giant plastic (roughly a cube) containers housed in a steel frame that manufacturers put any number of things in, mostly liquids. Silicone was in this one originally. I washed it out and hope it doesn't hurt the small tree saplings I have been watering with rain water that I put into the Tote. BTW, when I initially put a little rinse water in and dumped it out, the residue killed my grass in that spot! But the grass is slowly coming back.

Anyway, I want to get water out of this Tote easily and there is a gate valve or maybe it's a butterfly valve? I don't know the difference, even after reading an article on it, lol. It looks kinda like this and it has a dust cover screw-on cap, but mine is made by Schutz...

The valve is, obviously, at the bottom but it's lower to the ground that what I need so I can get a bucket under it. I guess I need a hose. Or I guess I could rig up a PVC gizmo to make it taller. What I am wondering is... this valve has an ID of about 1.75 inches. Would this be a 2 inch valve? I am wondering what to buy... thread size is, obviously, key. Are threads pretty standard? What kind of hose? Any insight is helpful.

BTW, I have this Tote on concrete blocks and I could solve this by putting taller blocks under it but first, I hate to waste 150 gal of rain water that is in it. I guess I could siphon it out the top but I'd need a long siphon hose. Plus, siphoning takes a lot of labor, it's slow to fill, refill buckets, you have to monitor it so you don't overflow and waste water. I can't get a transfer pump (that you set into a water source) into it through the opening in the top, it's too narrow to get it through the opening.

I might also transport water to water new trees in my pasture by putting this Tote in my pickup and filling with city water, so, a hose or pipe could come in handy for that, too.

You should be able to find a reducer to get it down to the size that you can put a standard hose bib on. Check your local plumbing supply.

I hauled my tote to the hardware store not long ago to figure out what thread that valve is as well and no such luck. It’s a bastard size. The hardware store recently got these quick release fittings in just to fit a tote valve and it’s threaded 2” on the other side and you can reduce it to what size you want. I went with 2” and used 2” vacuum cleaner hose to fill my sprayer with. Works great with no leaks. If you need me to try and get the part number off so you can order one I can.

Shane, if you can advise on brand/model/number, much appreciated. And how much did your setup cost, approximately? Thanks.

This one is a Gator Lock GLP200D. I found several places online and this is the cheapest https://www.essentialhardware.com/coupl ... 87230.html

Mine was $11.75 at my local hardware store plus the fitting I screwed in it was less than $2.00. I already had the 2” vacuum hose and clamp. A friend gave me the tank.

Here’s the valve on my tank and the fitting slid on and latched. Nothing else in the hardware store would screw onto these threads.
