MOLDBOARD PLOW QUESTION

Ok, thanks to several fowlkes I got the depth lever all figured out. Now, where does that notched bar sticking straight up go? As always. Thanks

That is the left side of a two way plow. You need the right side. That latch is for holding one plow up while using the other

What you have is the left half of a 189 2 way plow. That piece would engage the latch bar, to hold that moldboard up while using the other one. If you don’t have the other half, that piece can be removed. You can still use it but you will plow in the opposite direction from other folks.

No, I only have one. One is enough for what I plow.

Then you can use that, but it will have to be mounted on the left side. You will also need to use the complete depth lever that you have so it will work with that plow.

Ok, probably an obvious question, how do you tell a left from a right plow

Looks like two left hand plows.

Below is the Cub 189 Plow owner's manual, it has lots of info, and tells how to put the plow on the Cub.
You don't use the manual lift lever, to the left of the seat, if the Cub has Touch Control.
