Part two, detention while metal detecting.
While being detained by local security officials, the Deputy Sheriff ask for my address. I told him the address, which is a little over 100 feet from the sheriff's office. I told the Deputy that shortly after lunch a person wearing a shirt from the local Mexican restaurant knocked on my house door. I didn't understand him, very poor English. He spent some time typing into a translator. He had spent the night in jail and wanted to get his money back.
Deputy said he knew the guy. He had arrested him last night for DWI. He had a very amount of cash on him, enough to be suspicious. The money is being retained by the Sheriff's Department until it is determined to be not from illegal activity.
Had an enjoyable time talking with the other officials, except for the Highway Patrol Officer. He said trespassing twice which I knew wasn't true. The outdoor school property is open to the public for recreational activity and the School Board had not restricted metal detecting.
