Well my friend finally dropped off the tractor. It's been an odyssey. Bought it back mid November in Ash Flat AK. Friend went and picked it up in January for me (free) but he'd just bought a house in Muscle Shoals AL so it sat there till this past weekend when he came back to his normal home in IN. Then he drove it over to me in OH where I live today. So it's toured the country the past 4 months.

Had the previous fuel flow issue which I mentioned in another thread. So have that fixed but need to get a new gasket and screen for the bowl. Going to convert it over to electronic like the others. Spring and shock on the seet along with the seat need replaced and the stearing wheel. Going to run it for awhile and see how stuff feels. Then this summer I'll repaint it and if need to replace anything do that then.
Question I have the temperature gauge on the tractor shows the temperature in numbers. I'm assuming the correct gauge would be the standard Green/White/Red guage?

Also the big lever on the far right side I'm assuming that raise/lowers the fast hitch? Is there a manual that explains all the settings of the fast hitch on the forum? Pete Larson briefly talks about it on his youtube channel but like to read up on it before I break something.

You are going to love those platform extensions...I built a set and they make it a lot easier for this old guy to maneuver on the deck. And yes, the far right lever is the vertical for the fast hitch. The owners manual does explain all about the fast hitch.

The right touch control lever will pitch the FH fore and aft. Nice if you have a platform carrier and want to pitch it ahead to keep stuff from rolling off the back. And also, to set the proper draft on a plow. Left touch control lever will pitch the FH horizontally looking across the hitch, probably also mainly for setting the plow to level it. Don't know that you can hurt them, just don't let the touch control levers be in a position to bypass all the time. There are stops under the fuel tank where you can adjust them.

Looks like the check valve is still on it for the FH when letting it down. If it gets to the point where the fast hitch doesn't want to drop, that more than likely the problem. When mine started acting up I took it apart and cleaned/looked it over, didn't really look like there was anything wrong with it, and still acted the same. Dad had the same problem years ago on his that I inherited, and took his off, so I did the same. It's been 40+ years since he took that one off, and around 30 for mine, haven't had any problems with either since.
