Lumber Prices

Was at a Home Depot on 8/13 picking up a mini-fridge to hold us over until our not quite 4 year old $1,600 Samsung fridge was fixed.

2x8x16' #1PT GC board was $17.98. Same board back on 5/6 was $32.57. Feel sorry for the folks that built anything in the spring!

Construction material prices are dropping. Other side of construction cost is labor. Labor prices are going up.

Stripping out the basement in a recently purchased fixer upper to replace the electrical and repair plumbing. Salvalging the 2x4x12's, now 10' long, from 4 each college type dorm rooms, bath, and kitchen area. Guess, they are worth $3-/$4- each, used.

Not sure what we are going to do with 150/200 each 2x4x10's. They are worth to much money to throw in the burn pile. We are gonna store in the hog barn and use as we need them.
