Delco side post battery with individual caps. :) And it still has water in it!

Cant say I ever saw one like that. When I started driving it was AC Delco freedom battery, sealed with no caps and the eye in the top.

I was disappointed when GM flushed the AC Delco battery division down the toilet. :( The name is still there, but the batteries are made in Korea!

Anyone know what era or what cars that battery might have been for?

GM switched from top post to side post about 1971 so it was made after that. Worked around a whole lot of them, back in the day.

I have a 72 Cutlass and while it has a side post battery it has a replacement battery and no longer has the cap top like all batteries being made today. Vern

I could not resist, I had to grab the meter and see.

1.5 volts!

I been here little more than 8 years, so it been back there at least that long.

I actually found it before, but forgot about it.

I remembered while I was mowing back there to "watch out for the fish aquarium"!

Since I had the wheelie barrow back there the next day, I figured it was a good time to haul that stuff out!
