Loader 1000 q's

Good morning everyone. Finally got my Loader 1000 to the house.

Getting ready to pop the lines off and have new ones made. Thoughts on quick connects throughout and a loop hose for the bypass block?

Used some wheel dollies and a jack to slide it under to mock up/verify parts on hand. It's looking like I have to remove the fast hitch bail assembly to mount the rear of the loader bracket... Is that right? is it worth it?

Looking through the manuals (Loader 1000 and LDR-1), I have these parts that go with the loader (sans the straps labeled 1). assuming part 2/3 is to connect the fast hitch draw bar to the spreader (4)? Seems like it would hang down too low- but I wasn't able to raise the rear bracket into place to check. Anyone else have experience with the parts in the image? better yet, anyone have pics of them in place or the loader installed with the TC Fast hitch..

Also, considering trimming the rear ears off the bracket a bit as I don't require the length. I have a lo-boy and not sure if I want to trim them or not... Thoughts?

Thanks all. BTW, this is going on my 68 lo-boy .

Not sure about the loboy location on the finals . On the longstripe , the 1000 frame covered some of the rear final where the toolbar brackets attached. Planning to cut a little out of a set of toolbar brackets and see how it goes . I never considered quick connects , i dont think i would need them but, no reason not to i guess ...coppersmythe...................

I did not have my 1000 on a LB with FH or a cub with a fh. I do have both tractors I had it on a standard cub and moved it to a 130 after 5 years. I found the ground clearance and the general use too limited and everything was crowded on the cub to work on. I always felt I was going to break something when it was on the cub. It felt fragile to me. The loader weighs more than half the weight of the cub.

I know people do it and are happy. In my opinion, the issues I had will be especially true on a loboy with a FH. Also, trimming the rear tabs keeps it from being used on a A-140 and decreases the value of the 1000.

If you think of the 1000 as a loader you will be disappointed. If you think of it as the best wheelbarrow in the world, you will be happy.

I would not trim them , for the reason Inairam gave. I plan to modify the toolbar brackets instead. Its a small amount that needs to be removed, and I dont think it will make much difference in daily use . Coppersmythe.........................PS: No fast hitch on mine .
