Lo-Boy Loader Build

Like the thread suggest I have a Lo-Boy 185. Just recently purchased a loader from a older narrow body cub 100. With that being said I'm going to have to make some modifications to the rails to extend them. The only issue I'm having is finding any details on this particular loader. Anyone by chance have any suggestions or guesses? I'd really appreciate it everyone! Also if you have any tips or other suggestions with the build throw them out!!

What is an older narrow body cub 100? JMHO you are not going to have much more for a useful working machine than a wheelbarrow when you're finished but good luck. Stan
 
Sounds like a great project! Even if it lifts a couple hundred pounds it is a couple hundred you don't have to hump around the yard. I don't know anything about the hydraulics on a 185, but you will have to figure out how to tap into it and you will have to buy the SCV that is open or closed system to match the 185. Some figuring and jiggering should get it attached to the frame. Have fun!
 
Won't you need to stretch it by about 50% in nearly every direction to make it even half-way fit? I've been wrong before. But I doubt this will work out very well.
 
Isn't that off a Cub Cadet 100? Which would be a narrow body Cadet. Seems like you will have to make it wider and longer or place it more forward and mount it to your frame to work. It's cute.
I don't think info on the loader matters much. It's just parts. You have metal fab equipment right?

After you go to all that trouble, ---- The front wheel bearings , front spindles and steering box will bend/break and wreck the 185 front end! They are NOT designed for loaders of any kind. I have seen a couple and yes they were junked because of loader use. The whole front end wont hold up cause its not made heavy enough.
Get one of the chimineese mini skidloaders and never look back!! Thats what I did and they are WAY more usefull!!!!

Only did a deal like this once on a large Farmall. So plan your work , then work your plan, measure 4X and cut once. Have fun!!
