In my years as a Cub Forum member, I do not recall seeing any suggestion of keeping a Cub journal. I bought my first Cub, a yellow 1976 in 2016 and then another '76 a few months later. Immediately, I began a journal for the Cubs. I bought a school composition notebook (the traditional black and white marbleized notebook) and wrote in the serial numbers and important information on the Cubs and then added over the years entries related to repairs, oil changes, coolant changes and parts purchases (with receipts which I tape in and scan to my computer). I note when I use the Cubs and what I was doing at the time whether mowing with the yellow Cub or pulling and tilling with my red. It's really great to be able to look back and have a history on these Cubs. When I sell them off, I will be able to give the owner a comprehensive history on where I got them, how I used them and what repairs were made. I would have enjoyed having this information when I bought them. I would encourage all new Cub owners to begin a journal and keep it up so you know what size wrench fits the plugs or when you repaired the touch control and even how you felt when the Cub performed above and beyond or left you stranded in a field. I take this notebook with me whenever I travel just in case I find something and want to confirm numbers and sizes and so forth.
