K301 to K321

Not having much luck locating a K321 to upgrade my 680 Hydro. The 50" deck is a little too much for the K301 plus hydro. A little birdy told me that the major difference between the two was the bore, and that it's the same block. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.
 
On some of the older blocks there thicker. Some newer blocks are thinner. Now I'm not sure what engines can be bored oversize.
The base of the cylinder is were it gets thinner from the block to the fins. The pullers fab a brace that goes over the head with studs on some of them. Search for the Koehler info on the cadets
 
Wohoo! I found a K321 nearly complete. (on a Wheel Horse but the price is right) It's a non-runner sitting for 2 years, but still spins.. No red paint on it, hehe.. :wink:
