I only have two tractors left from when I was farming other than the one I use for mowing. They are both the same model and look the same. I’m selling them with plans to buy one new one because I have no enthusiasm for working on old tractors to keep them going and I have had enough of snowplowing the driveway without a cab to break the wind.
One is a 1956 International 300 Utility and I am only the second owner since new and it still runs smooth. The original owner was a traveling wildcat oil driller who had a large local summer estate with it’s own lake where I purchased the tractor in about 1995. I have both advertised on several national websites.
This morning I received a message from Tulsa, OK, from the son of the original owner saying he saw it advertised. He sent a picture of himself at about 14 in about 1976 sitting on the red tractor as they prepared to go to the tractor show at the county fair. So I sent a couple photos plowing snow in 2018. He said he heard it went to a good home and was glad to see it had fared well. It was a good feeling all around. Pretty cool being the tractor is 64 years old.
