We'll know here in NC Mon night/Tues morning...hoping it stays more easterly!
We could use a bit of the rain, but prefer no high winds or flooding!! :worthy:

Local weather channels here in CT are saying the path will be directly over us. We had a good soaking rain this afternoon that helped soften up the ground. Last Tuesday we had the test holes dug for the new leach field. Both dry for the 4’ depth that had to be inspected. Surface soil was like talcum powder.

Yep, we are going to get hit too and I hope the winds are low by then. But I think the Tesla solar system is going to get a workout if the ground gets super soaked and the wind starts blowing over trees

Main storm went west of here, over Peter's house. Some wind and 1/4 inch of rain. I was hoping for 2 inches of rain. Lots of power outages, in the area. We have power.

Got banged up here, lots of rain, sure needed it, power was out but back, lots of trees and limbs down

Not much rain here. Really could use it to. Power out at 3:00pm, fired up the generator at 9:30.
Lots of trees down.
612,000 total without power in CT.

CT shoreline took a wind beating, we are out of power and running on the Tesla wall...good sunny day will get me another day of solar. Really nice not having to crank up the little generator. Everything shut down in the house except refrigerators to string out the power...although I did make a pot of coffee and took a hot shower before heading off to NJ!

Tons of people out of power in NJ

We took a beating losing lots of trees, again .
This is getting old. Though we have trees down, some being really big tulip trees, none fell on anything important this time. Lots of clean up, been running the chainsaw and working with the tractors for 3 full days now and I’m still not done. The big guys that fell down by the river can stay where they fell but we had one block my driveway. I just got done this spring chipping up all those branches from as far back as Sandy too.
My town put out a notice that they are doing a town wide brush pickup so hey if their willing to do the chipping more power to them. :)
Their going to be sorry when the get to my house!
 I’ve got a pile about 40’ long so far.
This spring I bought a big generator so I guess Murphy’s law saw no fun in us losing power so we got lucky there. People all around us are without power but ours stayed on! We did lose cable though so no phone, tv, or internet. That’s going to kill my girls if they don’t get it fixed soon. ;)

Saturday morning and still no power...they say Tuesday. Can't really get PO'ed at the Utility...you can't have resources sitting around for a year for one storm. Interesting that there are the same power outages in CT and NJ as Sandy.

Power came back at noon on Friday, so not quite 72 hours.
October 2011 snowstorm we didn’t have power for 9 days, so this was not bad.

Yesterday, my oldest son, Mike, decided to take down the hanging limb in his backyard tree. It decided to take him down, instead. Broke his right forearm, coming down. Luckily, my grandson was here, or he would have been right there, helping. 2 hour wait in the emergency room, didn't do much to cheer up Mike!
