International Cub hydraluic pump parts.

Hello.

I have recently made a purchase of a Internatuonal Cub 1974 model Yellow-White version. I still have to bring it home but I have been looking for parts to make it functional once again. It is missing the Hydraluic pump, carburetor and the ignition coil. I have located a Hydraulic pump that needs some repair. The carburetor I am still looking for. And the coil seems to be a common item.
First the Hydraluic pump.
I am looking for parts to rebuild it. Where can I get the parts? I would like to get a new drive gear and if available a complete parts kit. New bearings seals and pump gears. I however haven't found a place that offers these parts as of yet. Are they available?
2nd.
I am looking for a good carburetor. Are the carburetors found on Amazon and Ebay any good? I feel that an old OEM carburetor and a good rebuild kit is the best way to go but if the after market ones work with out causing and issues then that could save me some time.
3ed. Coil.
Are the cheep coils from Amazon good in your opinion?
Any help or suggestions would be a great help.
Thank you in advance.

pump kit sold is just to reseal ,hard parts are not sold separate, buy a good used pump
coil part # UC15T is common

What leads you to believe that the drive gear, bearings and pump gears need replaced?
The drive gear must have came loose at some point. The pump shaft is .433. The ID of the gear is
.441 to .445 out of round.
The woodruff key slot is real sloppy as well. The gear teeth show some ware as well but I think they will be ok. If I can't find a new gear I will rebuild the gear. l can machine the gear bore and sleeve it. The woodruff key slot to re pair or it could be a work around I plan on machining a small flat spot on the gear neck and drill/tapp a set screw hole that will tighten down on top of the key locking it in place. The pump shaft seal area is a little warn but I think for all I plan on using the tractor per year it will out last me. But if I could find a place to buy replacement parts I would go that route. But at the moment I haven't had any luck finding anything yet.
Thanks for the conversation.

Hi,
J P Tractor Salvage probably has a used Touch Control pump. They are near the bottom of the Forums page. The other 2 places there might have them also. You might have to contact them and ask.

Has any one ever got parts from Bates tractor sales? I think I got the name correct. Its definitely "Bates".
Thanks again.

My wallet isn’t fat enough to buy from Bates!
I dont know anything about them really. I keep seeing there adds on FB. Just thought I would ask if anyone knew about them.
Thank you for the help, I didn't know that they are the expensive guys, good to know.

Contact Ethan Lublow at 419-503-one one three three. He may have a good used pump at a reasonable price.
I ran across him on a different part I was looking for I have to go pick it up soon. I did ask him about a pump, I don't think he has one at the moment. Thanks.

I probably have a couple but I don't know how to test them.
I don't know how to test either I would assume that you would have to have it mounted to the tractor and have a pressure gadge installed somewhere. I think I saw it in my cub service manual. As for the physical condition of the shaft and internal parts I would guess that it would have to be cleaned, dismantled and inspected for ware in that manner. The gear in my used pump that I ordered was obviously worn bad. It was loose on the shaft. It is so bad that you can loose to nut on the gear and it will wiggle in all directions. Take the nut off and the gear will fall right off along with the woodruff key. In my experience that key usually requires side cuts to get a grip on it and a levering action to get it out.
The other part if my pump that showed ware was where the o ring seal runs, it has a slite grove. I meshed it and it should have some life left in it but it's hard to tell for sure. It all depends upon the new o ring and how good the material is mad out if is. I did some reading up on o rings and there is a whole subject about the stretch versus contact area and the tension that can be maintained under pressure when ware rings are a question. I get the principal but knowing for sure just how to interpret the variables involved makes it a head scratcher. I am not an engineer. When it come to these things.
The only other thing I could think of for testing would be a hydrolic shop they may have a way of testing them? It would probably be a question of the pump configuration and being able to hook up to it. I suppose one could make a plate with two threaded ports to hook up the hydrolic lines. And an electric motor that could turn the pump at the correct speed could work.
Sorry just thinking out load. Just some ideas. The time and work to build a tester for a one off job to test a pump or two would be a bit to much I would say.
I will think about it. I have a guy from a fue days ago checking on an pump. He for got to get back to me today like he said he would. I checked back with him today, he had to push it to Monday befor he can check it now.
So I am waiting now for that outcome.
If he dosn't have a favorable outcome I will still be interested.
How much are you asking for your pumps? Just so I know.
Thank you.
Cliff.
