I’ve not used the harbor freight brand but used a similar tool for stripping paint off of lap siding when I used to work for a company that restored historic houses. They work great but make a huge mess when used as we used them. Definitely want dust mask or respirator and good goggles.

Cant bring my self to go into a harbor freight!

That stuff is too hifalutin for me!

Been seeing a lot of their ads here lately.

I don't like buying "made in China" products but I do like the fact that you can buy tools there that make life easier at prices that the average guy can afford. I don't have a lot of faith in anything they offer that is electrically driven though. That being said, I do have an angle grinder (which is pretty gutless) and a 1/2" drive electric impact wrench that my dad had that seems to work pretty good. There are a lot of tools that the average guy may use only a few times in his life and buying a top quality tool to do that job just doesn't make good financial sense to buy.

Eastwood has had a similar surface conditioning tool in their line up, for some time now. I’ve never used one but am curious about them.

Interesting tool, Ricky. Looks like it might "dig in" to the surface if you didn't hold it completely flat. That rotating edge would leave a gouge mark or line, in my opinion. But could be a useful tool for stripping paint off a tractor.

I use some of their power tools and always "buy the plan". I have returned many tools that stopped working or ones that I abused in some way I suppose and always got the replacements. So grinders, drills, etc that I use hard...It works for me. As for the stuff being from China? I got over that a long time ago. It is what it is and what is the point in lamenting.
