This was discussed here or on facebook, I can't remember which. I guess 2017 would have been the 70th anniversary, plus the engine options listed on the ornament. From little knowledge I have, only one engine was offered.

There was no diesel or LP, and the Cub was introduced in 1947 not 1948 thus making this the 71st anniversary. They goofed big time.

Plus the image shown is not a first year production model i.e. grill, under slung exhaust, T/C and probably others that I did not notice.

What's puzzling to me is this is no fly-by-night outfit. Outback Toys is a huge farm toy store in Lititz PA with an extensive background. They really should know better.

I emailed the store directly and suggested they take a look at it so maybe they did. Unfortunately it still says 70th anniversary.

Since this dormant thread has been resurrected I'll add an aside. I visited the store in Lititz PA yesterday. I didn't see the medallion anywhere but holy cow do they have the stuff! Got a couple t-shirts and a scale diecast Model H (they had every version of Cub except the early one, bummer) but I'll be heading back after the holidays.

Any updates on if it has been corrected or not? I would like to get one for the tree this year, but I won't get an error laden one.

I couldn't find one at the store so I can't say but I suspect it's either been pulled from sale or being sold as is. I don't think they'd spend the money to have it retooled and reproduced, especially so close to Christmas.

I have one and while it says 70th anniversary, the engine errors have been corrected. It talks about it coming with a variety of implements instead of a variety of engines.

Bet you wouldn't sell would you????
