Anyone have any idea what this thing is? Found in an old barn. It's long, got multiple sections that fit in large wooden brackets. Looks like some kind of thresher....any guesses are welcome.
Thanks.20251020_141651.jpg20251020_141707.jpg20251020_141554.jpg20251020_141543.jpg20251020_141614.jpg20251020_141607.jpg20251020_141536.jpg

Thanks for all the help guys...
When you first posted this, I thought it looked very familiar, but I did some searching on the internet and couldn't come up with anything.

It SEEMS to make me think it had something to do with a grist mill...I live in North Carolina where they were everywhere. But it just won't click what the application could be...an elevator?...but can't see that. Those protruding "tabs" spiraled SOMETHING up??? It's frustrating, because I KNOW I've seen it before!! 🤔

I have one that looks like it. Mine is indeed an auger. It came out of an old flour mill in Galesburg and was given to me in about 1950 when the flour mill was being removed to put in other equipment. It currently is in the museum in Galesburg. Vern
