I’m at wits end with this thing

Good evening everyone I have a 51 cub that has been converted to 12 volt my question is I believe after my install of the 12Volt system I may have lost timing in it because it doesn’t even start now and when I try to start it my plugs aren’t even wet does anyone have a clue by the way I already wrecked the governor oil seal trying to find the little dots and does anyone know what I should use to put a new back in

By the way it was running great before I cleaned up my spaghetti of wiring

Is it a mag or battery ignition distributor? If it's a battery ignition, set the CS/#1 piston at TDC on the compression stroke then locate and set the plug wire from #1 piston to the connection tower on the distributor cap that the rotor is pointing to then set the other three plug wires clockwise from #1, then #3, then #4, then #2 which is the correct firing order. Once you get it to run check the timing with a timing light. JMHO Stan
