What am I voting on? What is that thing hanging under the tractor? Is it some sort of mower?

It is a mid mounted air ator, It puts spikes in the shape of a star down into the ground to let air to the roots, it came from a golf course fleet of 6, I believe, that was the story I heard.

They are incredibly tough tractors.
Mine looked a lot like that before I restored it, here is what it looks like now.

That is a sharp 108! I have a 100 and 128. You did a great job on your 108.

I know they are good tractors, I have 12 some run some not and I just sold a few I was at 15. I just posted that 'cuase you don't usually see a 128 with mid airator.

That is beautiful Dave, very-very nice work! I especially like to see them restored with working mower decks, I found the mower deck is almost more time consuming to restore than the tractor itself. That 108 would be a show winner for sure if it isn't already

Oh, I made my guess on the aerator as something from an aftermarket company as I recall there were some companies in the 70's and 80's that made garden tractor add-ons for golf course work, and as dkeller stated there were more than one. Some of these companies also made add-on golf course care equipment that fitted to golf carts :lol:

I'm now gettin a 129 with the same airator under it, when I can compare the 2 side by side I think there will be no doubt left in my mind that it was factory made.
