Did Cubs come with a tool kit? My '58 Cub LoBoy has a tool box, but did it come from the factory with tools in it? I have collected a few IH wrenches over the years and wonder if any of them were supplied originally. Is there a list of tools?
Thanks

No, I don't think they came with a tool kit but I think you could order tools from a catalog or buy them from the IH dealer.
I have seen IH oil cans on old equipment.
In my 47' cub manual it said that it came with a hand lubricator [grease gun], breaker point and spark plug gauge,1/2 inch socket wrench and spark plug wrench with handle and a 8 inch long pair of pliers.
I don't know if they still had the tools in the later 1950's or not, or what Cubs, or LoBoys came with then.
You could look in the 1957 LoBoy operator's manual, and see if it says.
Jim B. might know about this.
Thanks for the replies. I'll look for a owners manual for '58, but the '47 is helpful. Do we know if the tools were stamped IHC like so many wrenches were?

Hi,
There are operator's manuals on here made in 1957, or 1959, for the LoBoys. They have said on here that IH didn't make a new manual every year. The 1957 manual has more pages than the 1959 manual.
They are at the top of the page at Quick links, then go to PDF Manuals.
Or Cub Info, then go to Rudi's Manuals.
Below is the 1957 manual.
