Ih mccormick b 450 strart up without preheters

:tractor: :help: my diesel engine has electric preheaters, but some one that is now too old to help again did something made this engine start right away in summer tme, but after a compression gasket change, it starts very dificultly. Any advice? Thanks.
I would love having this thing running as before, when it started as a thunder.

Isn't this just called winter? Wait about 7 months and it will start easily again.
OR... Get out a can of ether and hose down that intake while cranking it over.
