IH 54 Blade Compatibility with 184

Anyone here use a IH 54 blade with their lo boy?

Have quite a long asphalt driveway I’d like to plow with my 184. Not sure if the 54 blade is best for that or if there are better options out there.
 
There is a version of the 54 blade that fits all number series tractors. The blade, itself, is pretty much the same but uses different mounting and lifting components. I’m sure one of the number series folks can supply you with the model # you need.
 
had one here on a 154. former owner made special brackets to put it on. --- a REAL nightmare setup and not worth the trouble. 154 will not push anything,---just spins out. IF you had tire chains for them fat jumbos on the back it might push a 2" snow IF its not packed.
Go with a snowblower and never look back!

I push snow with a 184 numbered series and a 54 blade. Works good on dirt or ice with chains. If the snow is heavy, it does not like to push more than 4-5" at a time.
Note: The balloon tires require wheel spacers to use chains.
