Hi guys and gals. I was noticing my crankcase was growing oil. It was miraculously creating oil from nothing. Alchemy right? Anyways, I realized my Hydra-Touch pump was blowing by so I removed the pump. Looking for the IH part number on it i noticed that it appeared scratched off and unreadable. The other part numbers are legible but I am hoping one of you can tell me which pump this is. I think it’s a Pesco but can’t be sure. I dismantled it and have posted pics here. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Based on the drawings, it looks most like Pesco 368894R91, which is in the book as a pump original to the 240. Any of several replacement pumps could have been installed, even if not listed in the 230 Parts Catalog. It doesn't matter which it is. The only part you can replace is the shaft seal (causes your problem). As far as I have seen, all of those pumps use the same shaft seal (IH 353183R91 or equivalent).

By the way, when you put that pump back together, put EVERY part back EXACTLY as it came out. This is particularly true for the figure-eight shaped part. You get it wrong and the pump will not work.
