Hello there, My name is Dennis. I am the owner of 2 Farmall A tractors I believe and 1 Cub. But the problem I am having is I cannot locate the model or serial numbers that will tell me what year they are. The reason I am trying to locate this information is because I'm looking to sell all 3. Can someone help?

The serial number on a Cub is on the right hand side of the bolster (below the dogleg hood support.)

From what I can determine, the serial number for an A should be on the right hand seat bracket.

Dennis:

For your Cub you can check the Cub FAQ's #1 Para 13 13) Tractor Serial Number List As mentioned look on the starter side of the Cub up at the front bolster and you should find the SN tag if it is still there. Otherwise, if the SN Tag is missing you can get a close idea on what year it is by comparing the casting numbers and hoping that they were not replaced. Here is some info on the Casting Codes - Casting Codes and the Casting Code Date Table at TM Tractor

For the A's ... YTMag has a good table:

1944 93690
1945 113218

The Serial Number is located on the seat bracket on the left side

The right side of the left seat support. Very early ones were on the shield below the front edge of the operator platform.
