head bolt layout

I have been in the process of rebuilding the engine. During that time I have managed to loose my diagram of my head bolt layout, the lengths of bolts and which holes they went in, can anybody help me with this. I have spent hours trying to find this online and have had no luck. Thanks

There should be six long bolts and 9 short bolts. The long bolts are located at the front of the head on either side of the opening for the water elbow (three on each side where the head is the thickest). If you refer to the below link from TM Tractor (site sponsor), it should be pretty evident. Hope this helps

Welcome to the forum. One more post and you can access/download all the manuals at the Quick Links tab (upper left corner of this page) that gives all the information you are looking for. Here's some info on the head showing the number for tightening sequence.
If you look at the length of the bolts compared to the thickness of the head you can determine where the long bolts go and the short ones. Seems as I remember there are 9 short ones.

Bill has you covered on the location of the long bolts. Here is a page showing the head bolt layout and the order for the torque sequence. Be sure to torque in steps and to use thread sealant on the bolts.
