Hayride Accident

I pray that everyone will recover from the accident. Just a safety reminder --- this a perfect illustration of why it is often recommended that we not pull heavy loads with a Cub in hilly situations. A Cub can pull a lot more than it can stop, especially down a slope. Cub brakes, in excellent condition, properly adjusted, and working perfectly are still poor brakes.

Bill said it best . What a terrible situation for all involved. I would not encourage hayrides with our Cubs , unless done only on completely flat roads/pastures. We have had one every year for the past 9 years with no issues , but the tallest hills around here are red-ant hills. We have a lead Cub , trailer pulling Cub ( Me) , following cub , and a second following cub , All with blinking lights on left fender , rear/front lights on , and slow moving triangles mounted on right rear fender. Also , only in our neighborhood where there is very little traffic.........coppersmythe. I will try to remember to get a picture of the "parade" and post this year. And yes , somehow i get all the lights working on the same day.......
