Hauled These Two Old Cubs Out of a Basement with NO WHEELS!

Got a call from a lady her dad passed away recently and she said she had two old cub cadets that had been stored in his basement for 30+ years. She said just bodies no motors as you can tell from the pics they were complete other then one missing hood and wheels. Quite frankly the heaviest garden tractors I've ever hauled I've hauled a few. Do you think the more complete would be worth resurrecting?
Both appear to have 12 up Kohler motor

No pictures. What model numbers? Mower deck(s)?

30 plus years in storage would make the CC's 1987 or earlier. Probably quite a bit earlier.

CC parts are readily available. Some parts are expensive. Locally you can purchase an older work ready CC for $500-, give or take. Depending on needed parts, you could easily have more than $500- in parts resurrecting one Cub Cadet.

I own 3 narrow framed working Cub Cadets. Keep several CC's on hand for parts. Some of my working CC's are getting close to 50 years old. One good thing about resurrecting an older Cub Cadet, it will still be in service many years from now. Long after one of the new machines currently on the market.

So, no worth while opinion offered. If you have a complete CC with mower deck, it's worth thinking about. Depending on the model, manual transmission, the transmission parts fit the standard Cub. Any way, Save the CC's while you think it over.

Free parts is free parts. Maybe get one runnng?

I bought a .cc104 that's been stored for so long the shed it was in rotted. If had bad gas when it was maybe a few years old. I pulled the head and found the cylinder still had the honing stone marks from new. Never let the outside condition fool you. I cleaned the carb and points and she fired right up after freeing a stuck valve. Some wire wheeling, some new paint. I got a new machine.
