Super c or c question. Changed the oil and filter. Where and how does the gasket go that supposed to go between the casing and the “cone”. It’s to big to go inside and the gasket is to small to go outside. Plus I don’t know what outside would do. Does the cone sit on it al the way around. ???????

Not if you clean all the old bits out of the groove. The new gasket goes in the groove and can't get out of line.Cstrock":t1zqert6 said:

Here is a video, at around 2:45 he begins to remove the old gasket. As mentioned be sure you get the old gasket out and clean the groove. And when putting in the new gasket, be sure it's seated all the way around. The filter housing can pinch the gasket if the gasket isn't seated all the way around in the groove and you will have a leak.

As I experienced, clean out the groove, the gasket fits in the groove and the bell sits on the gasket. If the groove is clean and it is the right gasket, the bell sits ever so slightly in the groove as well. The other part is to make sure you have a good crush washer on the long bolt at the top. My bell is slightly out of kilter so I had to put an O ring under the washer to seal it off.
