Happy Very Early Birthday To Miss Rosie!

Well Rosanne has been driving her 2005 Suburban since 2007. It has been an excellent ride since she has had it. It had taken us to many CubFests in Florida, Georga, Indiana, Ohio etc, as well as to Cubarama in Missouri several times. It hauled three Cubs from Florida in one trip. With its 8.1L Vortec engine, 4L85-E trans and a hefty 3/4-ton chassis, It hauled just about everything I needed. We usually pay an average of $1500.00 a year for maintenance. However, in the last four years we have had three brake lines break. Fortunately two of those times they went out while in the driveway. Last Monday the front line broke again and the pedal went to the floor so I decided to take action. The old Suburban has over 177,000 miles and I don’t want to take any more chances of something happening that could really cause a problem.

Today Rosanne got an early birthday present. We will keep the old girl (the "05" Suburban) around as a backup, But Miss Rosie will primarily drive her present. She deserves it.

Tell us about the present, Bill!
2025 Chevy Suburban Premier leftover demo with 6,900 miles with full warranty, front and rear bucket seat. third row seat and more bells and whistles than I will ever need or figure. The touch screen controls are like an iPhone where you can scroll to the next screen of the menu. Then each subject has a mini menu to choose from. Confusing for now. I like a radio where you just turn it on and press a button for your station. We have talked about getting a new one for several years and figured now is a good time. We will keep the old one for a while as a backup since it is paid for and still runs and pulls great.

Rosie definitely deserves that!! And the added benefit is the peace of mind that both of you will have with a dependable vehicle!!

Happy UN-Birthday, Rosie!! 🙂🎂🍨

Very nice, Bill, when we bought our fancy Traverse, we faced those same tech challenges. Many things we still haven’t figured out and probably never will. Love the car, though.
