Front End Loader for a 184 Loboy

Does anyone know if IH or any other manufacturer made a front end loader for the 184 Loboy? :?: I'd like to purchase one if they did. I think it would be very handy to have.

Yes, IH, Henderson, and I think that Kwik Way all built loaders for the 154/185/184 tractors. Here is a picture from 154 literature, showing the IH 1050 loader:

They are kind of rare, but they are around. It is a pretty nice setup, but you will likely pay more for a good loader (if you can find one) than you would pay for the tractor to put it on.

Oh yeah, rarer than hen's teeth, they are... Good luck in finding one, as you won't be able to walk into the "Cub Loader Store" and get one off the shelf. :D
 
Thanks guys, atleast now the search is on. I think that a loader on the Lo-Boy will be better than on my '51 Cub. I'd worry about breaking the engine block on the old one. I may try to fabricate a loader if I can't find one. Tractor man, I tried that link and it won't work for me. Is that in the Yahoo Lo-Boy group?

Hi Brian. I know where one's at, but never can catch anyone there. I've even left a note in the door with a phone number, but no returned calls. I think maybe something must be wrong with the lo-boy itself, maybe, because it's been setting at the back of their property with weeds growing all around. This letter series lo-boy is on rt.20A and is on the south side of the TOLEDO EXPRESS AIRPORT at a small bussiness(blue building) of some sort with no name anyplace, just stuff being stored all around. Everything is still in descent shape, all yellow and white. Sooner or later I'll see someone there and I'll stop for you.

Hey Rick,

Do you have plans for that nifty modern loader you have on your backhoe Cub, or at least some detail photos? I plan on getting a Mig welder this winter and learning how to weld. Unless by some minor miracle I stumble across a 1000 loader in a barn somewhere... :)

Hi Matt. I don't have any plans on the loader set-up. I sorta winged it as I went. Mine attaches to the backhoe sub-frame so any plans would be worthless as far as the framework attaching goes, but I can take some side pics of the arm assembly for you when you're ready, with some dimensions.
